The No.5 Bearcats Claw to Their First 7-0 Record Since 1954 (CIN 41, LOU 10)
Even without starting QB Tony Pike, Cincinnati is unstoppable. Pike (who had surgery to repair a plate in his non-throwing arm several days ago) was replaced by sophomore Zach Collaros who completed 15 of 17 passes as he threw for 253 yards, 3TDs.

Louisville Tops Memphis, 35-28
Associated Press MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Louisville defensive end Rodney Gnat spent three quarters waiting for just one clean shot at Memphis quarterback Arkelon Hall. When Gnat finally got it, he didn't let it go to waste. Gnat drilled Hall early in the fourth quarter, knocking the ball free and into the waiting arms of cornerback Johnny Patrick, who raced 21 yards for the winning touchdown in the Cardinals' 35-28 victory Friday night. It was redemption for the Cardinals (3-2), who lost... to Connecticut two weeks ago on a late interception return for a score. It also was a bitter end for Hall, who played brilliantly against the nation's ninth-ranked defense but couldn't rally the Tigers (3-4) all the way back from a 14-point halftime deficit.more>>

Louisville Runs Past Kansas State, 38-29
Associated Press LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Maybe Louisville should have Muhammad Ali stop by more often. The Cardinals roared by Kansas State 38-29 on Wednesday night, coming to life after an appearance by the former heavyweight champion. Ali, back in his hometown to participate in Ryder Cup festivities, waved to the team while rolling through the end zone on a golf cart toward the end of the first quarter. "When he rode by, all the players got jacked," Louisville coach Steve Kragthorpe... said. None more than running back Victor Anderson. The freshman ran for 176 yards and three long touchdowns, including a dazzling 56-yard burst in which he broke two tackles and spun around a defender, showcasing the kind of footwork that would have made Ali grin.more>>
